Audax Accounting Solutions was founded by Dewald Coetzer. He holds a B.Comm Forensic Accounting Degree and is a professional accountant registered with SAIPA, and a general tax practitioner. Dewald has worked as a professional accountant in both Potchefstroom and Cape Town. He specialises in general accounting services, and tax and secretarial solutions for individuals and small to medium-sized companies.

Audax primarily makes use of Xero, Sage One and Quickbooks – cloud-based accounting software that enables the client and accountant to have convenient access to the books at any time, from anywhere. This increases productivity and ensures accurate, up-to-date financials – essential for running a successful business.
Audax makes use of the Smart Practice system, a client portal where Audax uploads the clients’ registration information, company registers, Financial Statements, and all other accounting documentation. Clients can also upload any required documentation for their account manager, diminishing the need for emails, and eliminating the need to physically store these documents with the possibility of them being damaged or lost.
SARS requires that all relevant documentation be kept for a period of 7 to 15 years (and allows for the storage thereof in electronic format) – the Smart Practice portal can store all documentation for this duration in one convenient place on secure servers accessible only by authorised login details.
Audax has further eliminated the need for time-consuming paperwork by utilising Receipt Bank – an award-winning application that clients can use to scan any receipts or bills they receive, simply by taking a photo with their mobile phone. Receipt Bank extracts the key information from these bills, receipts and invoices, removing the need for manual data entry and eliminating the need to store any old bills or receipts. The data can be published directly to Audax’s accounting software to be processed, and allowing for simple, secure data storage and archiving.
